Downtown Denver Buildings, Old and New

This is a picture from Downtown Denver, from when I would take walks to Downtown from our old apartment. I am standing right next to The Brown Palace and looking across the street at several buildings. I like this shot because is has buildings from different eras.

I have been busy with different things and will be back very soon with the concrete countertop tutorial. Happy Imagining!

One of James' Paintings

Here is one of my husband's paintings he is working on. He painted the black and gold a few years ago. He picked the painting back up because he had a new idea for it; that sounds like me, I start something, my inspiration just stops, then, all of a sudden, I get a great idea for it. As you can see, it is a skeletal looking design over the previous artwork.

Here, you can see James putting the black BB's on top of the painting. We had left over epoxy, so that is what he used to "glue" the BB's to the canvas.

And, here is the VP of Fluff inspecting the artwork, he approves.

I will be back with the tutorial for the countertops, I've been busy lately. Happy Imagining!

A Cold has Claimed Me... But, I Will be Back Soon, To My Old Self

I like sunset pictures, this is one I took a few years ago in my old neighborhood, Five Points. I have, unfortunately, been sick with a cold for the past few days. So, I feel like I have got nothing done, except for general household chores. I will be back soon, I need to get together my tutorial for the concrete countertops. I hate being sick, but, I guess that's part of life. I wanted to let everyone who reads my blog know that I'm still here, I am almost back to my old self.

Until then, stayed tuned. Happy Imagining!

Soon... There Will be a Tutorial on the Concrete Countertops

So, I've been putting off the kitchen project tutorial until we totally finished the kitchen. Well, I think I will instead post a tutorial of the concrete countertops, then, do a tutorial on the rest of the kitchen. Soon, I'll have a tutorial out, I just have to get all of the pictures and steps together. Until then, here are a couple of pictures of our old kitchen.

The above picture is a before, and very messy, picture of our kitchen.

This is the peninsula (without the old countertops). I was going to take one with the countertops, but James ripped them off so fast. He was excited (he wasn't a fan of the old countertops).

I was going to post some more pictures, but my camera decided to totally die on me. But, that's ok, I'll have the tutorial soon. Happy Imagining!

My Kitchen Set from My Childhood

I found some cool pictures of my old kitchen set from when I was a little girl. I took these a little while back when I was going through my Mom's storage. It's the original Strawberry Shortcake from the 80's. Here are some pictures of the whole set (in pieces). The one above is a door on the front of the set.

This one is another door on the front of the set, obviously, the oven door.

This is the stove top and the sink.

And, this of course, is the backsplash, the oven hood and the kitchen window, the back piece of the set.

I know this has nothing to do with my arts and crafts, but I think it has everything to do with creativity. I use to imagine cooking food here. Happy Imagining!

Soon, I Might have Video of My Dad's Work on Here! Very Cool!

My Mom bought this machine which transfers VHS to DVD, it's pretty cool. I know this isn't new technology, but this is something we definitely needed. My Dad video recorded just about everything in the late 80's and early 90's, so, that means we have tons of videos. My Mom and I watched part of a video today to learn how to play with the tracking... and believe me, there are some funny things going on, also some cool things. I got to see a news story about my Dad's SFX space ship models, that was awesome. And, my Brother's high school graduation... gee, he had such a baby face... haha. Oh, and some of the family reunion in 1989, some crazy hairdos going on there.

My Dad took video of some of his paintings too, this is part of one that I caught. We don't have this painting at our house, so it must be in my Brother's stuff.

Well, once I digitize those videos, I might be able to put the news story about my Dad's models on here, that would be cool. Happy Imagining!

Reminder... Spring is Just Right Around the Corner! Here are Some Pretty Flowers

I will be back with projects soon, I've just been working on different things. I was thinking that spring is just right around the corner, so, I decided to post a picture of flowers. OK... I know they are not real flowers, but they're pretty. These are the glass flowers on the ceiling in the Bellagio in Las Vegas.

I promise I will be back soon with projects. Happy Imagining!

I Will Be Back with Artsy, Crafty Stuff Soon... I NEED to Organize My Mess

Now, you are probably wondering why I would post a picture of a picture with a frame I bought from a thrift store. This is part of one of my organizational projects I am working on in my craft room. This is why I haven't been posting a lot of different art and crafty stuff, I really NEED to organize that room.

Here is a close up of the frame. I'm sure you're wondering why I would use a picture with a frame, I am actually only using the frame, the rest will be scraps for other projects.

Here is the frame with some boxes that I'm cutting up to make into storage containers. Believe me, it will make sense when I'm done.

Well, I must be going. Happy Imagining!
