It has been a long time since I have posted on my blog. I was pregnant, then had my baby girl on October 17th. It is awesome, I love her very much! It can also be exhausting, which is to be expected since this is my first child.
I will be back with projects, I am starting to get back to normal and am getting use to toting a little one along with me. And, maybe someday, she will be my little helper.
My husband and I are Star Wars fans and named our daughter Mara Jade. He has read a lot of the expanded universe books, and that is how we came up with our daughters name. For anyone who has read the Star Wars books, they know Mara Jade is Luke Skywalker's wife. I won't go into her whole story, you can Google it.
Happy New Year to everyone. Happy Imagining!
I decided to do a little self promoting today. Check out my Facebook page facebook.com/caliradan. You can also follow me on Twitter twitter.com/caliradan, and on Instagram instagram.com/caliradan. I am getting back my energy, so there will be more posts. Of course, I have to warn you, there may be more posts about baby stuff.
Stay tuned. Happy Imagining!
This is an update on a post I did before. The title was "Space... The Final Frontier" and it was posted on 02/13/14. I stated in my post that this was a painting that my Father didn't finish. Awhile back, I found out from my Brother that my Dad painted this specifically for a background image for displaying his spaceship models.
I will be back with more post, please stay tuned. Happy Imagining!
Here is one of my husband's paintings he is working on. He painted the black and gold a few years ago. He picked the painting back up because he had a new idea for it; that sounds like me, I start something, my inspiration just stops, then, all of a sudden, I get a great idea for it. As you can see, it is a skeletal looking design over the previous artwork.
Here, you can see James putting the black BB's on top of the painting. We had left over epoxy, so that is what he used to "glue" the BB's to the canvas.
And, here is the VP of Fluff inspecting the artwork, he approves.
I will be back with the tutorial for the countertops, I've been busy lately. Happy Imagining!
This is a picture of a Nemo I painted on my Godson's old bedroom wall. I'm glad I took a picture of it because they moved a couple of years ago. His whole room was an underwater theme, so, several different people picked up a paintbrush and painted sea creatures. It was a fun project.
Well, I hope everyone has a great rest of the week, since tomorrow is Friday! Happy Imagining!
The Dragon's Lair needs some artwork, so, I cut up a box and started to paint it. This is just the beginning, I will be tracking my progress on my blog. I am covering up printing on the cardboard, I'm using some outdoor house paint that I bought for a discount at The Home Depot. It's a light beige color, I think it will go well with the desert theme I will be painting. Hopefully, Beard-O likes what I am painting for him. Actually, I think Beard-O might be a female; once I find out, and if she is actually a she, her name will change to Beardie-O Nassis. OK, I realize that I just cut Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis' last name, but, it's just a play on words. I thought it would be funny to photoshop some big sunglasses and a pink Chanel dress onto my beardie, that would be hilarious. Stay tuned, I may do that as soon as I find out the sex of my beardie.

This painting is not quite finished yet, I get stuck on the bottle, I can't seem to paint it right. Can you guess who this is? The title of this blog post probably gave it away. It is James Bond, specifically Sean Connery. I think it has turned out nice, besides the fact that I get stuck on the bottle. I still have a ways to go, and so many other ideas for other paintings. I will share the finished product... once I get there. Happy imagining!
