It has been a long time since I have posted on my blog. I was pregnant, then had my baby girl on October 17th. It is awesome, I love her very much! It can also be exhausting, which is to be expected since this is my first child.
I will be back with projects, I am starting to get back to normal and am getting use to toting a little one along with me. And, maybe someday, she will be my little helper.
My husband and I are Star Wars fans and named our daughter Mara Jade. He has read a lot of the expanded universe books, and that is how we came up with our daughters name. For anyone who has read the Star Wars books, they know Mara Jade is Luke Skywalker's wife. I won't go into her whole story, you can Google it.

OK, I know I haven't posted anything on my blog for awhile. My excuse is I've been super tired lately because I'm pregnant, any energy that I have I've been spending it on things that I have to do (cleaning, cooking, grocery shopping and other chores). Luckily, I haven't had the dreaded morning sickness, just super exhausted; for example, I'll carry a load of laundry up and down the stairs and feel like I just ran around the block.
Well, I will get on with what I was going to post about. I am starting spring cleaning throughout my house. Yes, I'm finally gaining more energy and decided I should do some spring cleaning, luckily, I have the help of my husband and mother. I am going through my craft room and I run across my little duffel bag with a small sketch book and a pen/pencil bag (of course with the iconic John Belushi from Animal House). On my off time, while I'm sitting and relaxing, I'm going to start sketching again.

When my creative brain won't budge, I draw these little doodles. I saw this awhile back on a tutorial on YouTube, very good idea for the visual creative type to get doodles out. I imagine that writers might write non-sense on a page or that musicians may just play whatever on their instruments, this is me just drawing whatever to get it out of me. It's very simple designs and is easy to do. Plus, that's where I start most of my projects, I draw on paper of an idea that I have; sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
